The engine control unit Bosch EDC 7C1-4.2 with OE code 281010253 is an electronic control module designed for the complete management of industrial and commercial class common rail diesel engines. It is part of the EDC7 family, developed by Bosch for heavy vehicles, agricultural machinery and professional applications compliant with Euro 4 and Euro 5 standards.

The module manages in real time all engine operating parameters: injection, boost (turbocharging), EGR, ignition timing (advance), idle speed, temperatures, particulate filter regeneration strategy, torque limitations and anti-pollution strategies.
