INDICATIONS TO BE CAREFULLY FOLLOWED FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF THE BOSCH CP4 PUMP
The Bosch CP4 pump has the particularity of failing due to metal filings released by wear of the internal cup and shaft which, entering the fuel circuit, damage it.
IMPORTANT: Installation of the aforementioned pump MUST ABSOLUTELY be carried out by a workshop equipped with certain technical requirements.
IT IS ESSENTIAL, BEFORE FITTING A NEW ONE, TO CARRY OUT THE OPERATIONS LISTED BELOW IN ORDER TO REMOVE FROM THE SYSTEM ANY CONTAMINANTS (METAL FILINGS, OILY RESIDUES, WATER AND AIR). CHANGING ONLY THE PUMP IS NOT SUFFICIENT.
OPERATIONS TO FOLLOW
- Thorough cleaning (e.g., with ultrasound) or, preferably, replacement of the tank
- Replacement of all supply lines and the lift pump
- Replacement of the injector rail or thorough cleaning with appropriate tools (e.g., ultrasonic or high-pressure machines)
- Replacement of the diesel injectors and the fuel filter (replace it more than once during the operations)
After replacement operations and with the new pump fitted, bleed the fuel system of any air present — operation to be performed with the DIAGNOSTIC EQUIPMENT — and only after ensuring that diesel is at pressure inside the system, start the engine.

- The purchaser must ABSOLUTELY attach to the warranty request a copy of the invoice to the final customer certifying that the above operations have been carried out
- If these operations are not documented by invoice, the warranty request WILL NOT be considered
