The Bosch pump CP4 has the peculiarity of failing due to metal filings released from the wear of the internal cup and the shaft. These impurities, entering the fuel circuit, irreparably damage it; therefore, before replacement, carefully follow the points listed below to carry out a correct intervention.

Thorough cleaning (e.g., with ultrasound) or better yet, replacement of the tank.

Replacement of all fuel lines and the immersion pump.
