Techinical Info
The diesel pressure valve OE code 9665523380 is originally manufactured by Denso, the OEM supplier of the common rail injection system on many diesel engines. In car manufacturers' catalogs this component also appears under other codes: it is always the same fuel pressure regulating solenoid valve, also known as the Denso SCV (Suction Control Valve).
In short, the OE component is Denso, but there are valid aftermarket OEM-quality alternatives.
This valve is fitted on diesel vehicles with Denso medium-pressure common rail systems (1600 bar), mainly on 2.2-liter 4-cylinder engines developed by PSA, Ford, Mazda and others.
Technical characteristics and operation
- Type: modulating solenoid valve
- Control: PWM at 100–150 Hz, current 0–1 A
- Mounting: on the high-pressure pump body (inlet)
- Construction: metal body, 2-pin connector, o-ring + flat gasket
It regulates the amount of diesel drawn by the high-pressure pump, dosing the upstream rail pressure, improving engine efficiency and response.
At rest it is closed and opens progressively according to the ECU signal. It prevents overpressure, waste and instability.
Typical operating values:
- Rail target pressure 1600 bar, up to 1800+ in evolved systems
- Separate safety valve present on the rail
The responsiveness and accuracy of the SCV are essential for dynamic pressure control.
On some vehicles (for example Ford), after replacement a learning procedure in the ECU may be required.
