Techinical Info

The diesel pressure valve with OE code 1460A037 is an electronic regulation component of the common rail system, originally produced by Denso. Also known as the SCV (Suction Control Valve), it is used on a wide range of diesel vehicles equipped with Denso high-pressure pumps. This solenoid valve is essential for controlling rail pressure in medium-pressure common rail systems (up to 1600 bar).

Technical specifications

  • Type: SCV modulating solenoid valve
  • Mounting: on the high-pressure pump body (inlet)
  • Control: PWM 100–150 Hz, current 0–1 A
  • Construction: metal body with 2-pin connector
  • Sealing: O-ring plus flat gasket
  • Resting state: valve closed, progressively opens on ECU command

The function of the SCV valve is to precisely regulate the amount of fuel drawn by the high-pressure pump, optimizing rail pressure and improving engine response, while reducing waste and pressure fluctuations.

Vehicle applications

Mitsubishi

  • L200

DIPA always recommends verifying compatibility by checking the chassis number (VIN) and the engine code.

Typical faults

  • Internal piston seizure
  • Mechanical wear or damage from dirt/metal particles
  • Hardened seals with leaks
  • PWM signals out of tolerance or irregular

Common symptoms

  • Irregular and unstable idle ("hunting")
  • Difficulty starting when hot
  • Hesitation during acceleration
  • Engine warning light activation
  • Emergency mode (limp mode)

Conclusions

DIPA offers a wide range of spare parts: from original parts to aftermarket items selected from the best manufacturers on the market.
